Consequences of Choices
Everyone has rights and the rights of an individual will always consist of having to make choices and decisions.
Exercising your rights will allow you to do what is deemed necessary and in the best interest of yourself and others. And it often implies a duty or action in response to something.
Choices and decisions are an inevitable part of life and a natural aspect of your freedom to choose and decide accordingly.
However, your choices and decisions will have consequences.
And just for the record consequences are not always bad or unfavorable, but they are indeed based on what is right or wrong.
If you do good, good will come back to you and if you decide to do something other than that, I’m pretty sure you can finish the sentence.
This is what we know as the rubber hitting the road.
I believe that in having a personal intimate relationship with God whereby you are talking, praying, and communing with him daily; you will most likely have an inkling of what is right or wrong. And if by chance you don’t, God wants you to know it’s never too late to start.
It is through the Word of God and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that we are led in the spirit of truth in knowing and doing what is right in the sight of God.
Therefore, regardless of what comes your way, remember that God hears, sees, and knows about everything and expects you to do what is pleasing in his sight.
Demonstrating and integrating love, compassion, respect, honesty, and integrity into your daily life and in your interactions with others form the foundation of ethical behavior and healthy relationships.
So be sure to recognize the power you possess in all that you say and do, for your words and actions have the influence to accomplish both positive and negative outcomes.
Treat others the way you desire to be treated and if for some reason you don’t reciprocate the same; be sure to extend grace, mercy, and forgiveness for you are planting seeds and will reap a harvest.
In closing, Galatians 6-7-10 (NIV) sums it up in stating the following:
7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
Choices and decisions will always have consequences; therefore, utilize the wisdom God provides you with in all your actions and you will experience God’s continued blessings and favor.
Love, Joy, Peace, Power, and Hope be with you,
