Making Good Use of Time

I know you’ve heard the familiar saying that time is really flying and though it does not have wings like an airplane or a bird, it does seem to travel with a great amount of speed.

It seems that the beginning of the year was only yesterday and now we’re already embarking on the 3rd quarter of the year as the month of June comes to an end.

And so it is with life, we’ve seen days, weeks, months, years, and decades go by with what seems to be the blink of an eye.

Time truly stands still for no one.  It keeps moving on and it will continue to do so time and time again.

No one can turn back the hands of time, but the power is in your hands to “Make Good Use of Your Time”.

Every day gives you an opportunity to record a new entry in your book of life that reflects how your time is spent and what you’ve accomplished.

Making good use of your time will always consist of the powerful “D’s known as Discipline and Determination.

Therefore, you must be disciplined and determined to command your day by giving God the first fruits of your time to include prayer, praise, reading and/or listening to His Word.

Jeremiah 29:13 (NIV) state “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

There is nothing greater and more important than basking in God’s presence with an open heart and open ears to hear the sweet whispers of his voice.

This time allows each of us the opportunity to pause, observe, and listen to what we need to see and hear in preparation for what a new day may bring.

Jesus is a perfect example of making good use of his time.  Though his ministry was demanding, he did not forsake the precious time of communing with the Father.

Mark 1:35 (NIV) says “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.”

If you want to be successful and prosperous in your journey of life, it all starts with God.

Strength and revitalization come from being in the presence of God daily, seeking his face for guidance and direction in all that you do.

“Don’t waste valuable time in putting other things first; for time well spent is never wasted when you put God first.”

James 4:8 (NLT) state “Come close to God, and God will come close to you.”

There is nothing greater than experiencing God’s peace, power, and presence.

“Be sure to make good use of your time and remember a great day always begins with God.”

Love, Joy, Peace, Power, and Hope be with you,

I’m Rev. Sandy B and I want you to BNCouraged!!
